SCOUTING THE MAVS
Omaha entered 2024 picked fourth in the six-team Summit League preseason poll.
The Mavs opened the new season at Arkansas State where the Red Wolves swept Omaha. ASU outscored Omaha 33-9 in the three games.
Cardel Dick paced the Mavs during the series as he batted .300 during the series. Trent Burkhalter hit the lone Omaha home run of the weekend.
The Mavs used 13 pitchers during the Arkansas State series with Charlie Bell throwing a staff high five innings and striking out a team-high five.
AGAINST THE OPPONENT
This is the first time Long Beach State and Omaha are playing baseball against each other.

The game between Long Beach State and North Dakota State scheduled for Feb. 20 was canceled due to weather and field concerns that would impact player safety.
