Beach Athletics - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
In alignment with CSULB’s Commitment to Equity and Inclusion, the Long Beach State Athletics DEI Advisory Committee is comprised of a diverse group of student athletes, coaches, staff, and university community members that come together to acknowledge, celebrate, and embolden marginalized and all constituent voices to leave a positive legacy. We will collaborate, advocate, create programs, messages, and suggest policies to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion within the athletics community. Below are the primary goals for this committee:- Serve as an advocate and liaison for various committees and groups as a point of contact for marginalized/underserved student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and staff.
- Create safe, respectful dialogue surrounding marginalized groups to grow others perspective and better understand their experience.
- Attend and engage in DEI training and dialogue sessions.
