Scouting Oregon
No. 3 Oregon began the year as the top-ranked team, but after a 72-62 loss to then-No. 8 Louisville, the Ducks dropped to No. 3 in the nation. The Ducks are 7-1 on the year after bouncing back from their lone loss with a 95-56 victory over South Dakota State last weekend.

The Series: The Beach vs. The Ducks
Long Beach State and Oregon will meet for the 13th time in program history and the Ducks hold the lead 7-5 in the all-time series. In a series that dates back to 1980, the Beach won the first five meetings with the Ducks claiming the last seven as LBSU is looking for its first win over Oregon since 1986.

The Beach have a pair of players averaging double-figures. Additionally, in nine games thus far, Long Beach State has already seen three different players turn in 20-point performances. Sophomore Justina King leads the Beach with 12.9 points per game after notching a pair of 20-point efforts. She most recently poured in a season-high 23 points against LMU on Nov. 23. Second on the squad in scoring is junior Shanaijah Davison who is averaging 12.5 points per game in eight games played. She, along with redshirt sophomore Ma'Qhi Berry, have each registered a 20-point performance for LBSU this season.

Cleaning up the Glass
Senior forward Cydnee Kinslow is leading the rebounding charge for Long Beach State. She has grabbed double-digit boards in three of the Beach's nine games so far to average 6.8 rebounds per game. The Oakley, Calif., native has done a solid job cleaning up the glass as she collected 11 rebounds at California Baptist in the season opener, then turned around and registered 11 boards at then-No. 11 UCLA. She set a new career-high with 12 rebounds against Utah State en route to a double-double as she added 13 points.

King is Queen
The 2018-19 Big West Conference Freshman of the Year, Justina King, has picked up right where she left off. The sophomore guard, who led the Beach in assists a year ago (107), has dished out 33 assists this season to set the pace for LBSU. Additionally, she adds a team-leading 12.9 points per game to go along with 1.9 rebounds per game, and 19 steals in nine games so far. King totaled 29 points, five assists, four steals, and two rebounds at the Cal Classic to help the Beach to a second-place finish as she was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Berry Good
Redshirt sophomore Ma'Qhi Berry returned to the court after redshirting a year ago and has made an immediate impact for Long Beach State. The guard out of Irving, Texas is averaging 9.1 points per game to go along with 3.8 rebounds per game, while adding a team-leading 23 steals, and 14 assists. She racked up a career-high 22 points against Loyola Marymont and has recorded three double-figure performances thus far. Berry has been efficient from the field shooting 54.8 percent as she has connected on 23-of-42 field goals. Most recently, Berry swiped nine steals over two games at Santa Clara and Seattle, while also leading the team in scoring (15 points) and rebounding (9 boards) at Seattle.

Off the Bench
Junior guard Shanaijah Davison has made a splash for Long Beach State coming off the bench and averaging 12.5 points per game to rank second on the team. Davision has also contributed 3.1 rebounds per game, while adding 14 assists and 12 steals. She has made one start this season, but has since come off the bench in every other contest to help LBSU outscore its opponents bench in six games so far.

Green Machines
Long Beach State's Lauren Green and Aaryon Green are not related, but both give the Beach solid play when on the court. Lauren Green is a sophomore forward from Tucson, Ariz., while Aaryon Green is a redshirt senior out of Rialto, Calif. Lauren has started in 8-of-9 games so far and leads the team with six blocks, while adding 4.7 rebounds per game, 4.6 points per game, and 13 steals.
