Ashanti Dias | Guard | 5-1 | San Francisco, Calif.
Dias returns to the four-year ranks after an outstanding sophomore season at Laney College, where she emerged as one of the top guards in the California Community College Athletic Association. She started 24 of 30 games while averaging 15.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per game, leading the Eagles in scoring and assists. She shot 40.3 percent from the field and finished the season with 476 points, 190 assists, and 57 steals. Prior to Laney College, Dias spent the 2024-25 season at Cal State LA, where she appeared in 12 games.
Before beginning her collegiate career, Dias earned First Team All-League honors at Archbishop Riordan High School while competing in basketball, football, and track and field. She made school history as the first female to play varsity football at Archbishop Riordan and was recognized for her all-around athleticism throughout her prep career.
Head Coach Minyon Moore on Dias:
Beach family, please join me in welcoming Ashanti to our program! A California native, Ashanti is a true playmaking point guard who brings experience from multiple levels of collegiate basketball, most recently coming off an outstanding season at the junior college level. She is a three-level scoring threat with the ability to create for both herself and her teammates, while her toughness and relentless effort make her a scrappy defender. Ashanti is a natural leader, an all-around competitor, and someone who embodies the work ethic and mentality we value in our program. We couldn't be more excited to welcome her to our Beach family. Welcome to The Beach, Ashanti!
