The Dirtbags begin competition on Friday at San Diego State when LBSU faces California Baptist at 1 p.m.
On Saturday, Long Beach State moves to UC San Diego. The Dirtbags take on Pepperdine at Triton Ballpark beginning at 1 p.m.
Sunday's action sees LBSU face Seattle U at UC San Diego beginning at noon.
The tournament concludes Monday at San Diego State, where the Dirtbags match up against Utah begins at noon.
SCOUTING THE LANCERS
California Baptist is 3-1 before a Thursday night against Pepperdine in Riverside.
Chris Ramirez went 7-for-16 during the Portland series to lead the Lancers at the plate. Nicholas Dumesnil hit one home run and drove in six RBI against the Pilots.
Jacob Wilson is the probable starter for California Baptist. He started opening night for CBU on Feb. 14, striking out three in four innings.Â
LBSU and CBU are playing for the eighth time in baseball, with the Dirtbags leading the all-time series 5-2.
SCOUTING THE WAVES
Pepperdine is 0-4 after dropping four games to Utah to begin the season last week. The Waves travel to California Baptist Thursday night before heading to the Tony Gwynn Legacy.
Nick Upstill went 3-for-9 against Utah, while Brodley Bitlove went 3-for-4 against the Utes. The starting pitcher will be announced.
LBSU and Pepperdine are playing for the 138th time, with the Dirtbags leading the all-time series 72-63-2.

Seattle U dropped three games at LMU to open the 2025 season last weekend.
Jared Stevenson went 5-for-10 with a home run and five RBI at LMU. He scored five runs and posted a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .643 on-base percentage.
Righty Rafael Espinoza is the probable starter for the Redhawks. He took the loss at LMU on Feb. 15, giving up seven hits and seven runs.
LBSU and Seattle U are playing for the seventh time, and the all-time series is tied at three.
SCOUTING THE UTES
Utah swept a four-game series at Pepperdine to start the 2025 season. As a result, the Utes received votes in this week's NCBWA Top 25 poll.
Cameron Gurney went 5-for-10 against Pepperdine, driving in a team-high five RBI.
Colter McAnelly was named the Big 12 Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week after retiring 16 of the 19 batters he faced in the opening-day victory at Pepperdine. Although McAnelly received a no-decision, he held the Waves to one run on two hits and one walk while striking out four.
The probable starting pitcher is to be determined for Utah.
LBSU and Utah are playing for the first time since the 1994 season. The Dirtbags lead the all-time series 25-6.
