IRVINE, Calif.—Long Beach State won four more times at the Steve Scott Invitational Saturday at Anteater Stadium for the Long Beach State men's and women's track and field teams.
WOMEN
The 4x100m relay of Daryana Hall, Kaitlyn Williams, Sofia Lavreshina, and Jayda Rustemoglu finished second in the race with an LBSU season-best time of 46.11.
The 4x400m relay of Rahni Turner, Lavreshina, Rustemoglu, and Hall were victorious in a LBSU season-best time of 3:45.39.
Charlotte O'Connor won the pole vault with a leap of 12-4.
Lavreshina ran the 400m hurdles, coming in third at 1:01.41.
Williams returned for two individual races. She finishes fourth in the 100m (11.83) and 11th in the 200m (25.00).
Annie Murphy was fifth in the pole vault (11-10).
MEN
The 4x100m relay of Mekhi Mays, Caleb Roberson, Justin Watterson, and Patrick Henderson won the race in a time of 40.66.
Watterson ran a career-best 14.14 in the 110m hurdles to become the runner-up in the event.
Kyle Jankans finished second in the high jump with a leap of 6-7.
LaSalle Jackson tallied a season-best 50-8 3/4 in the triple jump to record a second-place showing. Novye' James was third in the triple jump (50-6 1/4), while Elijah Harris was sixth (48-5 1/2).
Canaan Wharry recorded a season-best toss of 179-7 on his final throw of the day in the discus to finish second in the event.
Aiden Pastorian threw a season-best 57-5 1/2 in the shot put to place third. Jaylon Wells was fifth in the shot with a 55-11 1/4 toss.
Mays ran a season-best 21.61 in the 200m to come in sixth.
Milo Orona tied his season best in the high jump, 6-3 1/4, to tie with Anthony Glasgow of Royal City AC for seventh in the event.
