Nine Honored As CSC Academic All-District From Track And Field

Representing the combined Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor seasons, six women and three men were selected for recognition.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State's Track and Field programs, under the leadership of Director of Track and Field LaTanya Sheffield, had nine student-athletes earn CSC Academic All-District honors for their combined efforts in the classroom and in competition for the 2025-26 season.
Presented by Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC), nominees for this honor must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, hold at least sophomore academic standing, and meet stringent performance standards in their respective sports.
For Long Beach State, three men's student-athletes qualified in Kyle Reden, Aiden Turner, and Tola Spencer, one each hitting participation marks in cross country, indoor track and outdoor season. Reden was a constant presence in the fall, Turner was a podium finisher in two events at the MPSF Indoor Championships, and Tola Spencer had a strong sophomore season for the Beach.
Among the women, KiiKii Brown, Sophie Garrou, Marikay Schwab, Jonelle Scott, Grace Stoddart and Rori Denness-Lamont all met the qualifying standards, with Denness-Lamont earning her second CSC Academic All-District honor of her career in a season that saw the graduate student win the Javelin at the Big West Championship and qualify for the NCAA Regionals.
