No. 13 Long Beach State Set To Compete In Triton Invite

Long Beach State will begin the tournament against UC Davis on Friday.
LONG BEACH, Calif.- No. 13 Long Beach State women's water polo team will head down to La Jolla this weekend to compete in the Triton Invite hosted by UCSD. The field of 15 will include 13 of the top 25 teams in the country broken up into four pools.
Long Beach State has been seeded in Group C with No. 4 Hawaii, No. 16 UC Davis, and No. 22 San Diego State for the three-day tournament. The Beach will first match up against UC Davis on Friday at 1:20 p.m. The remaining games over the weekend will be decided by Friday's game.
There will not be any live stats or live stream unless Long Beach State plays against UC San Diego. Last year, Long Beach State edged out Fresno State 8-7Â with a game winning goal in the last minute of the fourth period to take fifth place in the tournament. The Beach went 2-1 over the three days.
