THE KICKOFF

The final home match of 2024 is Sunday when Long Beach State hosts Cal State Fullerton. The 5 p.m. start will be streamed on ESPN+.
 
SCOUTING THE TITANS
Cal State Fullerton is 4-9-3 overall, losing 3-1 at UC Irvine on Thursday. The Titans are 2-3-2 in Big West play.
 
Kaylee Noble is tied for third in the Big West in goals scored with five. She is tied for fourth in the league in points (13) and fifth in shots (37).  
 
Ranson has started every match in goal this season for the Titans. They have second in the Big West and 30th in Division I to begin the week in total saves with 80.
 
Ranson is 37th in Division I in minutes played (1398:52). She is 59th in save percentage (.802), 64th in saves per game (4.93), and 131st in goals against average (1.10).
 
AGAINST THE OPPONENT
Cal State Fullerton leads the all-time series against Long Beach State 14-10-3.
 
THE BIG WEST RACE
The Big West race is heading down the stretch as Long Beach State has three matches remaining in the regular season.
 
Hawai'i enters the weekend in the league lead with 16 points (5-0-1). UC Santa Barbara is second (15, 4-0-3), followed by UC Irvine (3-2-2) and Cal State Bakersfield (3-2-2), which are tied for third with 11 points.
 
Long Beach State (3-3-1) and UC Davis (3-2-1) are tied for fifth with 10 points. Cal State Fullerton (2-3-2) and CSUN (2-3-2) are tied for seventh as both have eight points.
 
The top six clubs reach the Big West Championships. Note: UC San Diego is in its first Division I postseason eligibility season.
 
SUPA EARNS TWO BIG WEST AWARDS
Kailey Supa earned a pair of Big West women's soccer honors, the league office announced on Oct. 14. Supa was named Big West Offensive Player of the Week and Big West Freshman of the Week on Oct. 14.

Supa scored two of the three Long Beach State goals as the Beach went 1-1 during a two-match women's soccer week. Supa tied the score at one against UC Davis with a 25-yard blast into the top left of the net. She scored an 86th-minute game-winner when she headed in Liz Worden's direct pass as the Beach defeated Cal State Bakersfield 1-0 on Sunday. Her shot percentage of the week was .667 (2-for-3).


LAST TIME OUT
Long Beach State went 1-1 last week. The Beach fell 3-2 against UC Davis on Oct. 10 before defeating Cal State Bakersfield on Oct. 13. Here are the recaps;
