No. 7 Long Beach State Back In Action Against Loyola Marymount

The Beach look to build momentum after going 2-0 in Beach Invite
LONG BEACH, Calif. - No. 7Â Long Beach State Women's Water Polo team will head up to Loyola Marymount for their first road game of the 2024 season Friday, Jan. 26.
The Beach look to continue their strong start to the season following their two big wins against No. 25 Biola and California Baptist in the Beach Invite. At the Beach Invite, the Beach scored over 20 goals in both wins.
Lara Luka led all players with 10 total goals in Saturday's matches, including a career-high six goals with the Beach against California Baptist. Luka also contributed five assists on the day. Mariah Walker also posted a career-high six goals in the season opener against Biola.Â
Freshman Chiara Amoroso had a strong start to her freshman campaign, finishing the day with seven total goals, tied for second-most on the season so far.
No. 19 Loyola Marymount will host Long Beach in their season home opener after going 3-1 in the Arizona State Tournament to start the season. The match is set to start at 6pm.Â
