THIS WEEK
Long Beach State opens the 2024 indoor campaign at the Air Force Lindeman Classic. The field events on Friday begin at 1:30 p.m. (PT). Friday's track events begin at 2:30 p.m. (PT) and will feature qualifying for Saturday's finals.

Saturday's field action begins at 10 a.m. (PT) with track finals starting at 11 a.m. (PT). The link to the live stats will be available on LongBeachState.com. Teams entered include Air Force, Chadron State, Colorado, Long Beach State, UC Davis, and Wyoming.

LOOKING AT LONG BEACH STATE
The Long Beach State men return three 2023 MPSF Champions in Kash Powell (800m), Kyle Jankans (High Jump), and Elijah Harris (Triple Jump). Powell was a member of the 4x400m (2nd) and Distance Medley Relay (3rd), earning All-Conference honors at the 2023 MPSF Championships.

Jankans cleared the bar at 7-1 3/4 to win the 2023 conference title and post the fourth-best mark in program history. That mark ranks him among the top 30 in the US entering the 2024 season. Harris also finished eighth in the Long Jump (22-3) at the 2023 MPSF's. His season-best 48-6 in the triple jump at the 2023 New Mexico Collegiate Classic is the 10th-best mark in school history.

On the women's side, The Beach return the 2023 MPSF Women's Athlete of the Meet in Hailey Fune'. Fune' won the MPSF Pentathlon title with a personal best of 3,678 points, second most in program history. She also finished third in the 60m Hurdles, fourth in the Long Jump, and sixth in the High Jump at the 2023 MPSFs.

Kaitlyn Williams is the defending MPSF Champion in the 60m and the long jump. She also finished second in the 200m and helped Long Beach State finish second in the 4x400m relay.

Both Long Beach State teams finished second at the 2023 MPSF Championships.
