Long Beach State Prepares For Final Road Contest Against Hawai'i

No. 16 Beach takes on No. 8 Hawai'i on Thursday and Saturday.
Long Beach, Calif. — The Long Beach State women's water polo team is back on the road this week as they travel to Honolulu to take on No. 8 Hawai'i.
The Beach will take on the Rainbow Warriors on Thursday at 7 p.m. (HT) in a conference match before wrapping up play on Saturday at noon (HT) in a non-conference contest.
This will be the Beach's last road contest during the regular season.
ABOUT THE BEACH
-Last time out the Beach dropped two close contests to No. 11 UC Davis. In their conference match, the Aggies took a sudden-victory win in overtime.
-Kate Green-Jones and Inbar Geva have split time in the cage. Geva leads the team with 21 saves, while Green Jones has 15.
-Junior Elena Kotanchyan leads the Beach in scoring with 10 goals, while Anne de Kleer has scored six times. Freshman newcomer Mariah Walker is third on the team with three goals.
ABOUT THE RAINBOW WARRIORS
-Hawai'i (1-1) hasn't played since March 10-11 when they split their two matches against UC San Diego.
-The Rainbow Warriors' contests against UC Irvine were canceled last weekend.
-In their brief play, Lucia Gomez de la Puenta leads the team in scoring with five goals.

The Beach will be back at Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center on April 10th when they welcome Loyola Marymount for a non-conference game.
