Ornelas' time in Riverside on Saturday morning ranked as the fifth fastest 8K time in program history. Crossing the line at 24:11.5, the junior recorded the best mark since 2011. He finished sixth overall out of 290 total runners, and was third among the Big West competitors.

For the first time this season, Michael Phillips did not cross the line first for the black and gold. However, he still posted an impressive 24:21.8 and finished eleventh. That time would also rank in the all-time top ten.

Connor Phillips had his best race of the season notching a PR of 24:47.7. He finished 34th overall.

Ricky Villa was fourth for the Beach, posting a time of 25:06.5 with Jacob Korgan not far behind at 25:32.8.

Antonio Munoz (25:41.7) and Alex Kalmar (26:02.6) both ran new lifetime-bests to round out the scoring for Long Beach State.

The men totaled 169 points in their fifth place finish.

For the second consecutive meet, Fick changed the record books, posting the fifth fastest time in women's 6K history. Her time of 21.00.1 is the best for the program since 2011 and put her across the line tenth overall.

Allie Scimia was the second across the line for the Beach, finishing 20th overall with a time of 21:20.1. The freshman has finished top two on the team in each of her first four career meets.

Bronwyn Bunnell posted a new lifetime-best of 22:06.7 as the third LBSU finisher. Anitha Graves (22:15.3) and Brieanna Tafoya (22:20.6) also had solid races, just missing out on PRs of their own.

Yajaira Calderon (22:57.6) and Tessa Chen (23:10.5) rounded out the scoring on Saturday.

The women totaled 167 points on the day in their sixth place finish.

Long Beach State cross country will run their final meet before the Big West Championships next week, as the team heads to Fullerton for a night race in the Titan Invite.
