Long Beach State Announces 2026 Cross Country Schedule

Long Beach State will compete in five meets across California during the 2026 campaign, beginning Sept. 5 in Fullerton
LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Long Beach State cross country has announced their 2026 schedule, featuring five meets across California and culminating with the NCAA West Regionals in Sacramento.
The Beach will compete twice in Southern California to open the season before heading north for their final regular-season tune-up. Long Beach State then returns to Riverside for the Big West Championships before postseason competition continues at the NCAA West Regionals.
Long Beach State begins the 2026 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 5 at the Mark Covert Classic, hosted by Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, Calif. The season-opening meet will give the Beach their first opportunity to compete after the summer training period.
Two weeks later, Long Beach State will travel to Riverside for the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19. The meet will also give the Beach an early look at Riverside ahead of a return trip later in the season for the conference championships.
Following nearly a month away from competition, Long Beach State will head to Northern California for the Bronco Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 17 in Sunnyvale, Calif. The meet will serve as the Beach's final competition before the postseason begins.
Long Beach State will return to Riverside on Saturday, Oct. 31 for the Big West Championships. The Beach will compete against the rest of the conference with team and individual titles on the line.
The postseason continues on Wednesday, Nov. 11 when Long Beach State travels to Sacramento for the NCAA West Regionals. The meet brings together the top programs and individuals from across the West Region with qualification for the NCAA Championships at stake.
