No. 8 LBSU Cap Up For Home Opener vs. No. 1 Stanford

The Beach host the Cardinal on Saturday at noon
LONG BEACH, Calif. – No. 8 Long Beach State sets up for its home opener this week, bringing No. 1 Stanford to the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center for a noon matchup on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Long Beach State (10-7) is coming off a tough loss last week to No. 2 UCLA in Los Angeles, losing 11-7. The Beach is led by Austin Stewart who tops the team with 46 goals, while Matt Morris has 27 goals on the season. Marwan Darwish leads the GCC in saves with 138 in his 15 games for the Beach.
Stanford (11-1) comes into this matchup ranked No. 1 in the nation. The Cardinal are on a six-game winning streak with wins against No. 3 Pacific and three wins against No. 2 UCLA.
