Long Beach State (2018): Was named to the All-America Second Team … Named All-GCC Second Team for the second year in a row after leading the team in total points with 68, shots with 82, assists with 12, and goals with 56 ... Although his offensive production lead the team in all categories, he also had 12 steals and 4 field blocks ... Received the final GCC player of the week award on Nov. 16 ... Had a season high 7 goals against UC Davis on October 12.
Long Beach State (2017): Named All-GCC Second Team after leading the team in total points with 64, shots with 133, assists with 12 and goals with 52 … Along with stellar offensive production, also had 15 steals which was tied for third on the team … Had a team-high five goals on five shots against LMU on Nov. 8.
(2016): Appeared in all 25 matches … scored four goals against UCSB in GCC third-place game to lead team … Finished second on team with 29 goals …
(2015): Redshirted during the 2015 season.
Los Osos High School: Played three years in the Baseline Conference under head coach Eric Cypher … Stewart helped the Grizzlies go undefeated as 4x Baseline League Champs … Was a two-time CIF City Champion and Div. II CIF Finalist … From 2012-2014, Stewart was named CIF first-team, first-team Baseline league, first-team Daily Bulletin, and had a career record in assists and steals … In 2012, he had a season assists record (110) … In 2014, he was also named Baseline MVP, Daily Bulletin MVP, second-team All-American, first-team SoCal, and recorded a season steals record (101) … Was part of the Foothill/Cadet & Youth Club Team under head coach Alex Rodriguez … Earned the USA – ODP Regional Championship in 2013-2014, Youth & Cadet Team U-16 second-team All American Jos in 2013, U-18 Honorable Mention in his junior year Jos, and third place Jo’s from 2012-2013.
Personal: The son of Michael and Melissa Stewart … Sister Ambyr Stewart also played water polo at UCI for three years … Was a mentor for Foothill Water Polo U-12 … Had a 3.8 GPA in high school and was an Academic All-American … Was also recruited by UCLA, USC, UCI, UCSD and Cal … Enjoys hanging with friends, all sports and video games.
