No. 7 Long Beach State Caps Up for Game Against GCC Rival UC Santa Barbara

The Beach looks to upset No. 4 UCSB on Saturday night
LONG BEACH, Calif.—Men's Water Polo continues their homestand Saturday Night in the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center, hosting a Golden Coast Conference game against UC Santa Barbara at a new time, starting at 6 p.m.
The Beach (12-8) is coming off two wins against conference foe San Jose State and Golden West College. Freshman Rafael Real Vergara tallied four goals against San Jose State and Alessio Brunochelli added four goals to lead Long Beach to victory in game two.
Senior Austin Stewart leads the Beach in three different categories—goals with 49, assists with 18, and steals with 28. Following Stewart is Sophomore Matt Morris who has tallied in 29 goals. Freshman Rafael Real Vergara continues to impress with 21 goals in his seven appearances for the Beach.
UC Santa Barbara (15-5) comes into this matchup ranked No. 5 in the nation. The Gauchos are currently on a five-game losing streak with two losses to UCLA, two to Pacific and one to USC. Before losing to UCLA on September 28th, the Gauchos were ranked No. 1 with a record of 15-0 to start the season.
