Long Beach State will compete at the Titan Invitational

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Long Beach State Cross Country will continue their season on Friday, October 19 at the Titan Invitational. The Women's 5K will kick off the competition at 5 p.m., and the Men's 8K will start at 5:35 p.m. Both races are scheduled to take place on the Cal State Fullerton campus.

SCHEDULE
Women's 5K- 5:00 p.m.
Men's 8K- 5:35 p.m.

Highlander Invitational
The men's and women's teams competed in their third meet of the season at the Highlander Invitational hosted by University of California, Riverside. Freshman Tyler Spencer and Leslie Diaz and were the top finishers for the Beach. Spencer finished in 11th place with a new personal best in the 8K race with a time of 24:54.0, leading the men's team to a third place finish out of 20 competing schools.
Diaz crossed the line as the top finisher for the Beach in 20th place, earning a new PR in the 5K with a time of 18:01. Junior Alyssa Allen followed in 40th place, also solidifying a new personal best time of 18:12. Fellow freshman Sofia Ramos was the third finisher for the Beach in 44th place. The women's program finished in the top ten, taking eighth place out of 22 teams at the Highlander Invitational.
