Alyssa Allen Leads The Women’s Cross Country Team At The Titan Invitational

Long Beach State will compete in the Big West Championships next weekend.
FULLERTON, Calif. - Junior Alyssa Allen and freshman Bronsyn Ledgard were the top finishers
for LBSU, posting 12th and 28th place finishes Friday evening at the Titan Invitational hosted by
Cal State Fullerton.
Allen continues to improve each week, staying in range of her new personal best in the
women's 5K with a time of 18:27.80, earning seven points for the Beach. Next to cross the finish
line and rise up the ranks was freshman Bronson Ledgard who finished with a new PR and took
28th place with a time of 19:15.55 to score 22 points.
LBSU freshman Kelsie Newman followed closely behind, improving her personal best by three
seconds with a time of 19:21.91 to secure 31st place. Fellow freshman Sabrina Del Bello was
the fourth finisher for the Beach, crossing the finish line in 37th place with a time of 19:28:15
earning 30 points.
Overall, the LBSU women's cross country team finished high in the ranks in their final tune up
meet in preparation for the Championships.
Long Beach State is back in action on October 27th to compete in the Big West Championships.
