Hannah Grady

Hannah Grady returns for her third season as an assistant coach with the program, staying with the school where she is recognized as the finest player in school history, and was recognized as court one at the Rhodes Tennis Center was renamed "]Hannah Grady Court"Â in her honor on February 27, 2010.
Grady's resume as a student-athlete was one of the best in the country. She was the first player in Big West history to be named the Big West Player of the Year during all four years of her eligibility, and led the 49ers to four straight conference crowns during that time. Her 172 collegiate wins are a Long Beach State and Big West record, and she also tops the Long Beach State record books in singles with 93 wins. Her doubles total of 79 wins is also second-best in school history.
Over the course of her four seasons with the 49ers as a player, Grady compiled a 41-1 record in conference singles, and led The Beach to four Big West titles and four consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament. She also participated in the NCAA singles draw in 2006 and 2008, and finished with more than 20 singles wins in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. In addition to being consistently ranked in singles and her on-court success, Grady compiled numerous academic achievements as well. She became Long Beach State's 18th Academic All-American as a senior, was named Long Beach State's scholar-athlete of the year, and was a three-time ITA National All-Academic team member.
Grady also was a two-time Academic All-District selection and a three-time Academic All-Big West award winner. As a junior tennis player, Grady won the British National Championship in Under-12 singles, and was a doubles champion at the Under-13, Under-15 and Under-18 doubles. She was also the runner-up in singles at both Under-13 and Under-15. She competed in the Wimbledon junior draw three times and the French Open junior draw.
Hailing from Coventry, England, Grady graduated in 2009 with a degree in Political Science.
