Beach 4x100 Relay Team Advances To Nationals To Close NCAA West Regionals

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Long Beach State closed out competition at the NCAA West First Round Friday with the men's 4x100-meter relay qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Championships at John McDonnell Field.

The relay team of Dre Johnson, Tristyn Flores, Vincent Jones and Trey Sheron finished third in heat two of the men's 4x100-meter relay quarterfinals with a time of 39.14, placing ninth overall to secure a spot at the NCAA Outdoor Championships June 10-13 in Eugene, Oregon.

In the men's 400-meter hurdles quarterfinals, Jaden Dasher finished 19th overall after running 50.92 in heat one.

Long Beach State will send six athletes competing in three events to the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Steven Evans-Glynn qualified in the men's long jump, Ryan Gregory will compete in the decathlon, and the Beach men's 4x100-meter relay team also advanced to nationals.

Championship Schedule:
Long Jump Finals – Wednesday, June 10 at 6:40 p.m.
Decathlon – Wednesday, June 10th 100 Meters – 1 p.m. Long Jump – 1:40 p.m. High Jump – 4:10 p.m.
4x100 Relay Semifinals – Wednesday, June 10 at 5:05 p.m.
