Beach Set For Busy Weekend Across Four Meets, Including Two Home Events

LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Long Beach State returns to action with a full slate of competition across four meets, highlighted by two home events at Jack Rose Track.

THIS WEEK
The Beach begins competition Thursday, April 16, with distance runners competing at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, a three-day meet running through Saturday. Long Beach State will be represented by Nataly Toledo, Lance Denhalter, Tarron Johnson, Kyle Reden, Cameron Rhone, Cameron Gill and Miles Jones in distance events including the 3,000-meter steeplechase, 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters.
Action also begins Thursday at home with the Pacific Coast Invitational at Jack Rose Track. Field events open at 8 a.m. with the men's hammer throw featuring Eman Goodloe and Tyler Knowles, followed by women's hammer with Abigail Gavrilovic, Giszelle Hrehor and Amanda Javellana. Additional field highlights include the women's pole vault (Sophie Garrou, Charlotte O'Connor, Jonelle Scott, Grace Stoddart) and men's pole vault (Cyprus Rice, VJ Vanderlipe).
Track events at the Pacific Coast Invitational begin at 11:15 a.m. with the women's 4x100 relay (Trinity Barnett, Jaliyah Davis, Daryana Hall, Zamaria Mack, Zariah Walker), followed by distance and sprint events throughout the afternoon.
Friday shifts focus to multiple meets, including the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut. The Beach will compete in key sprint events, highlighted by the men's 4x100 relay (Jaden Dasher, Tristyn Flores, Vincent Jones, Trey Sheron) at 11:10 a.m. Flores and Sheron will also compete in the 100 and 200 meters, while Trinity Barnett headlines the women's sprints and Zamaria Mack competes in both hurdles events.
Long Beach State will also host the Beach Invitational Friday and Saturday at Jack Rose Track. The two-day meet features a full schedule of field and track events, including invitational sections in the 10,000 meters, 5,000 meters and steeplechase on Friday, followed by a full slate of sprint, hurdle and relay events Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
