The Beach conclude competition on Saturday

LONG BEACH, Calif.—The Long Beach State men's track and field competed in a pair of meets on Saturday.

MIKE FANELLI TRACK CLASSIC
The Beach entered three runners in the 800m in the Mike Fanelli Track Classic at San Francisco State's Cox Stadium.

In a field of 193 that took 23 heats to complete, Cristian Martinez led LBSU as he finished 12th at 1:52.64. Cameron Rhone was 18th after running 1:53.08. Cameron Gill placed 22nd after going 1:53.62.

TRITON INVITATIONAL
Canaan Wharry placed sixth in the Elite Discus at UC San Diego's Triton Invitational. Wharry's best throw was 187-6 in his third attempt of six on the day.

UP NEXT
Long Beach State enters the Bryan Clay Multis on Wednesday and Thursday in Azusa. The heptathlon begins at 9 a.m. each day, and the decathlon begins at 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday and 11 a.m. on Thursday.
