Long Beach State kicks off the new season on October 3.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Head Coach Jenny Hilt-Costello and Long Beach State Women's Tennis have announced the new schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 campaign.
The season will kick off at home as Long Beach State hosts the Beach Tennis Fall Tournament, held at the Rhodes Tennis Center on campus from October 3 to October 6. The Beach will then take part in the ITA Southwest Regionals in San Diego before closing out the fall by heading to the UNLV Fall Tournament November 8 through November 10.
In the spring, Long Beach State will once again host an opening tune-up, welcoming teams in for the Beach Tennis Winter Invite from January 17 to 19th, featuring round robin play just prior to the start of the dual match season.
Dual match play will then start in earnest the next week as the Beach takes a trip to Oregon, facing Seattle U in a neutral-site meeting before taking on Oregon on the road in Eugene. A trip to UC San Diego the next weekend marks the team's first Big West matchup, and then the team's dual opener comes on Saturday, February 15 when Long Beach State hosts CSUN at the Rhodes Tennis Center.
After a pair of local road matches, Long Beach State will take a long trip to the East Coast, taking on Georgetown, Navy and George Washington over the course of three days from February 27 to March 1.
Returning home, the Beach will host six straight matches at the Rhodes Tennis Center, starting with Youngstown State on March 6 and finishing with a conference matchup against UC Santa Barbara on March 26.
After a rivalry match at Cal State Fullerton, the Beach will travel north for another three-contest trip at Santa Clara, Sacramento State and UC Davis before closing out the home schedule with UC Riverside on April 9. The regular season finishes on the road at UC Irvine in the Black and Blue Rivalry on April 18 and then the Big West Championship will once again be held in San Diego, running April 23 through April 26.
