
No. 8 Long Beach State To Compete in Two Contests This Week

The Beach will take on No. 21 Brown at home before heading to CSUN on Saturday.
LONG BEACH, Calif.- No. 8 Long Beach State Women's Water Polo will return home to Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center to take on No. 21Â Brown this Wednesday on ESPN+. The Beach will end the week back on the road to continue conference play at CSUN on Saturday.Â
The Beach (16-6, 2-0) just came off a perfect 3-0 weekend at the Michigan Invite, including a win over No. 9 Michigan and are on an eight-game winning streak heading into the week. Lara Luka had a great tournament leading the Beach in goals and assists with 10 each. In the win over Bucknell, Luka scored her 100th career goal with the Beach in just under two seasons.
Long Beach State will start the week against No. 21Â Brown at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27. Brown heads to Long Beach after falling to Pomona-Pitzer Sunday night.Â
Brown is led by sophomore Ella Palmer who leads her team in goals with 33. The last time the Beach took on Brown, LBSU won 12-9 in 2023. The Beach lead this series 6-0.Â
Following Wednesday's contest, Long Beach State will head up to CSUN to continue Big West conference play on Saturday, March 30 at Noon. The Matadors (16-12, 0-3) will head into the game in a four game losing streak. The team is led by Dorottya Telek, whose team high 83 goals is good for first in the conference.Â
