Three Water Polo Players To Compete Internationally In August

Three players from Long Beach State will represent their nations this summer.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State will have three players competing internationally this summer, as two incoming freshmen for Women's Water Polo have been called up to their nations while Zalan Nagy will represent Hungary before returning to Long Beach State Men's Water Polo this Fall.
This year's U20 European Championships are being held Oeiras, Portugal, and the Beach will have one man and one woman competing for their countries. Zalan Nagy scored 29 goals for Long Beach State last season with 16 assists, and the junior will compete with Hungary, while incoming freshman Esmee Ouwens will be competing with The Netherlands prior to her arrival at the Beach. That tournament is currently underway from August 1 to August 7.
Later this month, Nia Dimitrovics will also represent Hungary, competing with the U18 team at the Women's Water Polo World Championships in Tenerife, Spain. That tournament will be held from August 16-23.
