No. 9 Long Beach State Back In Action at the Claremont Convergence

The Beach are set to compete against Mount St. Mary’s and No. 22 Long Island.
LONG BEACH, Calif.- No. 9 Long Beach State women's water polo team will head to Orange, California to compete in the Claremont Convergence on Saturday, March 2.
The Beach will first play against Mount St. Mary's at 9:15 a.m. followed by a 1 p.m. game against No. 22 Long Island. Both games will take place at Allred Aquatics Center located on the campus of Chapman University.
Long Beach State enters the weekend ranked ninth nationally after an eighth place finish in a competitive field at the Barbara Kalbus Invite. Lara Luka led all Beach players with eight goals and assists for the tournament. Luka is leading the team in goals this season with 45. She ranks second in the conference and fifth nationally. Senior Rachael Kowalchick is five goals away from the 100 career goals milestone. Kowalchick has contributed 11 goals so far this season.
