Long Beach State returns home this weekend when the Dirtbags host Milwaukee in a three-game series.
BeachLiveStats.com will have the coverage on Friday and Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. ESPN+ streams Sunday's series finale with Matt Brown and Cody Yates on the call. Coverage begins at Noon.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Under first-year head coach Shaun Wegner, Milwaukee is off to a rough 0-6 start.
Fresno State swept the Panthers to begin the season Feb. 16-18 in Fresno. Milwaukee dropped all three games at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley last weekend.
Despite the tough record, the Panthers' pitching staff is only allowing the opposition to hit .234 this season. Luke Hansel has a team-low 1.64 ERA in 2024. At 0-1, he has struck out a club-high 15 while only walking four in 11 inings.
Justin Hausser leads the team in hitting (.364), total bases (10), and doubles (2).
AGAINST THE OPPONENT
This is the first time that Long Beach State and Milwaukee are playing baseball against each other.
