No. 12 Long Beach State Back On The Road For Barbara Kalbus Invite In Irvine

The Beach are set to compete in Group B with play starting on Friday.
IRVINE, Calif.- The No. 12 Long Beach State Women's Water Polo team will head over to Irvine this weekend to play in the Barbara Kalbus Invite. The competitive 16-team field will feature 13 of the top 25 teams in the country.Â
The Beach have been placed in Group B alongside No. 2 Hawai'i, No. 7 Arizona State and Pomona-Pitzer, who sits at 27 in the rankings. Long Beach State will first take on No. 7 Arizona State at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. They will finish their pool at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday as they will take on either Hawaii or Pomona-Pitzer. Long Beach State will then play one more game on Saturday before closing the tournament with a final game on Sunday.
The competitive field will also include No. 1 UCLA, No. 3 Fresno State, No. 4 Stanford, No. 5 USC, No. 6 Cal, No. 8 Michigan, No. 10 UCI, and all tied at No. 13 UCSB, Indiana, and UCSD.
