
Charlie Forster In The Top 10 After Two Rounds At The William Tucker Intercollegiate

Long Beach State is shooting 8-under par as a team after a strong first day
ALBUQUERQUE – Junior Charlie Forster is in the Top 10 after shooting a 5-under par in the first two rounds of the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate. He is leading Long Beach State, which is in sixth place with an 8-under par heading into the final round.
Forster would fire seven birdies during the first round, which would put him 5-under as he shot a 67. He followed his strong first round performance shooting an even par 72 to keep him in the Top 10.
The Beach started the day on fire as they collectively shot 10-under par in the first round, which put them in a tie at the top of the leaderboard along with Texas Tech and UNLV. LBSU completed the second round with a 2-over par showing to bring them to 8-under par for the tournament.
Texas Tech is in first place with an 18-under par showing after two rounds. They are followed by host New Mexico and San Francisco, which shot 16-under and 14-under par, respectively.
Senior Clay Seeber finished day one tied for 19th after shooting 2-under. Seeber fired 12 birdies in his first two rounds today to get off to a solid start.
Sophomore Jaden Huggins started the second round with an eagle on the first hole. He is currently at 1-under par after shooting 143 as he heads into the final day.
Wrapping up the lineup are senior Isaac Rodea and sophomore Jack Cantlay. Rodea had a steady performance in the first two rounds as he finished at even par. Cantlay birdied the first three holes of the first round, but has found himself at 11-over par.
