Clay Seeber Finishes In The Top 10 At The William Tucker Intercollegiate

Long Beach State secures sixth place after shooting 9-under for the tournament
ALBUQUERQUE – Senior Clay Seeber climbed 12 spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for seventh at the William Tucker Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon. Seeber tied his career-best with a 66 for 6-under in the final round to conclude the tournament with a 208 for 8-under par.
The Beach played a steady round and finished the tournament at 9-under par, which was good for a sixth-place finish. The Big West had three teams represented in the tournament, where Long Beach finished above their conference competitors, Hawaii (18th) and UC Santa Barbara (20th).
New Mexico claimed the title at their home course, finishing the tournament at 29-under par. Texas Tech would finish in second place after shooting 26-under, while San Diego State would climb one spot in the final round to shoot 14-under and take third place.
Junior Charlie Forster would secure a top 15 finish after shooting a 4-under par for the tournament with two birdies on his final two holes.
Senior Isaac Rodea climbed three spots on the final day and finished the tournament at even par.
Rounding out the rest of the Beach, sophomore Jaden Huggins finished the tournament at 3-over par, while fellow sophomore Jack Cantlay would finish at 18-over.
The Beach are back in action next week at the Badger Invitational hosted in Madison, Wisc. Round one will start Sunday, October 1.
