
The Beach Head to the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate Hosted by New Mexico

Long Beach State will tee off on Monday, Sept. 25 in another highly competitive tournament
LONG BEACH, Calif. – On the heels of their tournament victory at the Ram Masters Invitational two weeks ago, the Long Beach State Men's Golf team heads to Albuquerque, N.M., to take part in the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate. The three-round, two-day tournament will take place at UNM Championship Course on Monday, Sept. 25 and Tuesday, Sept. 26.
The 20-field tournament will see the Beach go up against host, New Mexico, as well as BYU, Colorado, Hawaii, Kansas State, New Mexico State, San Diego, San Diego State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, TCU, Texas Tech, UC Santa Barbara, UNLV, USC, Utah Tech, UTEP, and UTSA.
Long Beach State will send a talented lineup to the green in senior Clay Seeber, sophomore Jack Cantlay, sophomore Jaden Huggins, junior Charlie Forster, and senior Isaac Rodea.
Seeber and Cantlay were LBSU's top finishers in the season-opening Ram Masters Invitational as the duo both shot 206 for 4-under par. Seeber fired a 70-68-68 in his first appearance in nearly two years and was named Long Beach State Athlete of the Week for his efforts. Cantlay, meanwhile, shot 66-69-71 in his first contest since being named 2023 Big West Freshman of the Year.
Huggins will tee off for the Beach at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate looking to build on his last outing when he shot 72-72-67 for a 211, 1-over par performance at the Ram Masters Invitational to start the season.
Forster is coming off of a Top 10 performance at the Ram Masters Invitational in which he fired a 65-74-69 for a 208, 2-under par showing. This will be his second performance of his career for Long Beach State.
Rounding out the Beach's lineup is senior Isaac Rodea who will be making his 2023-24 debut. Rodea had a solid junior season in which he was named to the 2023 Big West All-Conference First Team and earned a spot on the Big West All-Tournament Team. Rodea turned in his best finish of 2022-23 at The Big West Championship as he shot a 69-71-72 for a 212, 4-under par performance and placed in a tie for fourth.
