Women’s Golf Returns To Action At Ptarmigan Ram Classic

Long Beach State will send the same five golfers to compete in the team’s second tournament of the year.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State will be part of a 11-team field competing at the 2023 Ptarmigan Ram Classic in Fort Collins, Colo as women's golf heads to their second tournament of the season.
A regular part of the Long Beach State tournament schedule, the Beach competed in the tournament last season and placed sixth overall. The Beach will go head-to-head with three other Big West programs in Cal State Fullerton, Cal Poly and Hawai'i. The field will also include Colorado and the hosts Colorado State, Bowling Green, Fresno State, La Salle, Southern Miss and Wyoming.
The tournament will feature two rounds on the opening day, Monday, September 25 starting at 9 a.m. MT and concluding with a final round on Tuesday, September 26.
Jasmine Leovao will lead off the lineup for Long Beach State. The defending Big West Freshman of the Year, the sophomore was the team's top scorer with a two under-par rounds of 70 at the Boilermaker Classic to start the season.
Her twin sister Janae will play second after coming in second for the Beach in Pudue three weeks ago to kick off the year. The sophomore class will hold the top three spots in the lineup as fellow sophomore Madison Le will play third for LBSU at the Ptarmigan Country Club.
Senior Angelina Kim will play fourth for the Beach, while freshman Andee Avery will make the lineup for the second straight tournament. Le, Kim and Avery all finished one stroke behind Janae Leovao at the Boilermaker classic and return to action in Colorado.
