Long Beach State (2023-24): Became Long Beach State’s sixth golfer to win Big West Freshman of the Year following a spectacular first year at Long Beach State … Avery was also named First-Team All-Big West, recognizing a strong first season that three Top 5 and six Top 10 finishes across the regular season … Was part of the lineup in every event during her freshman season … Finished under par at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic, placing 17th overall at 1-under par …. Earned First Top 10 finish at the Golf Iconic Classic, 2-under par to help the team claim the first tournament championship in the 17-team field from Las Cruces, N.M. … Tied for fifth place overall at The Clash At Boulder Creek with three straight rounds of 70 in the team’s second consecutive victory, this time in a 19-team field … Shot a 3-under par 69 to win the CSUN/CSUB/LBSU Tri-Dual, two strokes in front of teammate Janae Leovao … Tied for third in the team’s second tri-dual against Boise State and UC Riverside … Led the team with a Top 10 finish at the GCU Invitational, shooting a 211 with a final round 69 … Shot even par at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in another Top 10 finish … Closed the Big West Championship with a tournament low 67 in the final round … Tied for third place with Janae Leovao at +3 … Second on the team at the Cle Elum Regional, shooting the team’s lowest round in Washington with a first round 70.
Prior To Long Beach State: A four-year letterwinner at Carlsbad High School … A four-time First Team All-League selections … A two-time First Team All-CIF selection … Led the Lancers to a CIF Section Championship in 2021 … Finished fifth at the California State Championship … Qualified for the 2023 USA Girls Junior Championships … Other junior finishes of note included a win at the AGCA Previews in Meadowbrook … Member of the Honor Roll all four years of high school.
