Long Beach State Men’s Basketball Announces 2023-24 Schedule

A non-conference schedule with marquee road matchups leads to a thrilling Big West slate.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Men's Basketball has announced their 2023-24 schedule, featuring 14 home games and marquee road matchups.
Long Beach State begins the season with an exhibition contest in the Walter Pyramid on November 2, when the team hosts Cal Lutheran at 7 p.m.
The Beach will then get tested with a tough road stretch to start the season. The regular season begins on November 6 when the team plays at Portland, and then Long Beach State will face DePaul for the first time ever in Chicago on November 11.
Two major contests follow, as the Beach will head south to face last year's NCAA finalists San Diego State, and then the Beach will play at Michigan for the first time on November 17.
Traveling directly from there, the Beach will take part in another mid-major tournament, participating in the Gulf Coast Showcase with Buffalo, High Point, Hofstra, Illinois State, Iona, Louisiana and Wright State. The Beach then closes their road November with a return trip to Montana State on November 26.
The Beach will then have four home games in December, hosting Sacramento State, Life Pacific and Cal State Dominguez Hills while playing at USC before opening Big West action on December 30 against CSUN.
Once the new year hits, notable home games including Hawai'i on January 18, UC Irvine on January 25 and Cal State Fullerton on February 29, before the Beach closes out the regular season in early March with home games against UC Santa Barbara and UC Davis.
