The Beach had 17 student-athletes post 19 different qualifying marks throughout the season. It marks the most for the program since the 2017 season and was the most, by far, of all the Big West institutions.

Fresh off their second consecutive Big West Championship, the women's team will have six members in action throughout the week headlined by the back-to-back Women's Track Athlete of the Year, Ryley Fick. The senior will compete in her second NCAA 3000m Steeplechase while also racing in the 800m this week.

She is joined on the track by the hurdles trio of Rahni Turner and Hailey Fune in the 100m Hurdles and Big West Freshman of the Year, Alex Heerink-van Breda, in the 400m Hurdles. Senior captain Kaitlyn Williams will also compete, running in the 100m Dash. For Turner, it will be her second NCAAs appearance while it marks the first for each of Fune, Heerink-van Breda, and Williams.

The only women's field competitor will be Rori Denness-Lamont in the Javelin. In her first year of collegiate competition, the redshirt freshman has improved every time out qualifying for the first NCAAs meet of her career.

The men's team will see 10 student-athletes in action in Sacramento led by dual-qualifier and Field Athlete of the Year, Sebastian Coleman. The senior captain will be competing in the third NCAAs Hammer event and second Discus event of his career.

Joining him in the throws will be Pablo Gamez in Hammer and TJ Wiggins in Discus. Both finished second in their respective events and will compete in their first NCAA meet this week.

Also on the field is a trio of jumpers with Novye James and Elijah Harris qualifying in the Triple Jump while Cyprus Rice competes in the Pole Vault. It marks the first NCAA event for all three and extends a stretch of now 15 straight years with Long Beach having at least three jumps athletes qualify for the West Regionals.

On the track, the Beach will have two sprinters and two distance runners in competition. Kash Powell and Mohammed Mohamed will both run in the 800m race with Powell making qualifying for his first regional and Mohamed making his second consecutive West Regional appearance.

In the sprints, freshman Tristyn Flores and junior Mekhi Mays will run for the black and gold at Sacramento State. Flores will run in the 100m Dash while Mays runs in the 200m Dash.

Competition will take place all day, every day Wednesday, May 24 through Saturday, May 27. The event schedule and meet central page can be found HERE.
