Women’s Water Polo Opens 2023 Season with Beach Invite

The Beach will begin their 2023 campaign on Saturday at Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach State women's water polo team is back in action this Saturday as they host the Beach Invite at Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center. The tournament will feature eight games throughout the day.
Juniors Anne de Kleer and Rachael Kowalchick will look to impress after strong sophomore campaigns where they scored 38 and 30 goals respectively, leading the way for returning players. Junior transfer Lara Luka will also look to add to her impressive resume. Last season at Hawai'i, she scored 37 goals and added 18 assists, leading to Honorable Mention All-American and Second Team All-Big West selections.
The Beach will open their season with a game against Claremont at 10:30 a.m. and wrap up the day with a 3 p.m. matchup against Whittier.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at longbeachstate.com or at the gate. Live stats for all games will also be available at theFOSH.net.
