Turner Improves Regional Rank on Day Two of NCAA West Preliminaries

Freshman Rahni Turner improved on her regional rank, but unfortunately did not qualify for Saturday’s 100m Hurdle final.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Long Beach State was back in action for day two of the NCAA West Preliminaries in Arkansas. Freshman Rahni Turner was the lone competitor on Thursday, racing in the 100m Hurdles.
Day Two Results
Entering the regionals, Turner ranked 36th among the competitors in Fayetteville. By the end of it, she moved up three spots in the 100m Hurdles. With a time of 13.63, she finished sixth in her heat and 33rd overall.
Long Beach State will also have competitors on day three of the regionals tomorrow. Sebastian Coleman, Alec Jones, and Charlie Vernoy will begin the day in the men's Discus Throw while Jason Smith competes in both High Jump and Triple Jump.
