The Beach Will Face UCSB To Open Big West Tourney

Big West announces tournament bracket
Long Beach, Calif. — The Big West announced the bracket for the 2022 Big West Women's Water Polo Tournament on Saturday night, and the Beach will be the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 seed UC Santa Barbara Thursday at Duke Kahanamoku Aquatics Complex at 1:30 p.m. (HST)/ 4:30 p.m. (PST).
After finishing with an identical 3-3 record in Big West play with UC Davis and UC San Diego, the Beach earned the No. 3 seed after the tiebreaker was decided by goal differential in games between the three teams.
The Beach (14-13, 3-3) has faced UCSB two times this season picking up two wins. In their most recent contest, LBSU defeated the Gauchos 14-9.
Hawai'I earned the No. 1 seed while UC Irvine, UC Davis and Cal State Northridge are the No. 2, No. 4 and No. 7 seeds respectively.
