No. 10 Long Beach State Dominates In Win Over Bucknell

Long Beach, Calif. — No. 10 Long Beach State scored early and often Thursday night as the Beach defeated Bucknell 21-4 at Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center.
Mariah Walker scored two of her four goals in the first period as the Beach (11-10, 0-1) took a 4-0 lead after Marilia Mimides connected on a penalty shot with 4:45 remaining in the first period.
The Beach locked in defensively holding the Bison to one goal after the first period to lead 8-1.
LBSU continued to stifle Bucknell defensively that led to goals on the counterattack for the Beach.
Rachael Kowalchick scored three goals and 14 Beach athletes found the back of the net as Long Beach State rotated players in throughout the game.
Kaitlyn Ortiz scored her first career goal in the contest to wrap up the scoring for the Beach.
Chelsea Oliver and Inbar Geva splits time in the cage with Oliver making seven saves.
The Beach will be back in action on Sunday when they host No. 1 Stanford at noon.
