No. 9 Long Beach State takes on No. 13 UC San Diego on Friday,
Long Beach, Calif. — No. 9 Long Beach State opens Big West play this week when the Beach heads to La Jolla to take on No. 13 UC San Diego Friday night.
The Beach (10-9) is led by Orsi Hertzka who is tied for the conference lead in goals with 48.
UCSD (12-7, 1-0) is led by Ciara Franke who has the fifth highest goals scored in the conference with 39.
Last Time Out
On Tuesday the Beach defeated No. 19 Princeton 17-12, Rachael Kowalchick and Orsi Hertzka each scored four goals.
Against the Tritons
At the Triton Invite in February, UCSD came away with a 12-8 win over LBSU.
