Long Beach State hosts Pacific at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center.

LONG BEACH, Calif. -- After a successful showing at the Gary Troyer Tournament, No. 6 Long Beach State returns to Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center to host No. 4 Pacific on Saturday, October 8 at 7 p.m.

The Beach returns to Golden Coast Conference play after two big wins against Concordia and Fresno Pacific last week, improving their record to 12-5 on the season.

Pacific was tabbed to win the Golden Coast Conference in front of the defending champions from Long Beach. The two teams topped the preseason poll, however, and the Beach will put their seven-game GCC winning streak on the line Saturday against the Tigers. The teams have met once previously this season, as Pacific outlasted Long Beach State in the fifth-place game of the MPSF Invite 13-10.

The veterans continue to lead the way for Long Beach State as junior Rafael Real Vergara added three more goals to his tally last weekend bringing his total up to 30 for the season. Senior Matt Morris also scored three times last weekend bringing his total to 27 on the season, while Garrett Zaan follows closely behind with 24 goals.

Saturday's matchup against Pacific will be another strong test for The Beach. Pacific comes into the match with a record of 15-3 winning four of their last five matches.

Live statistics for the match will be available at www.thefosh.net and tickets are available for purchase now.
