Jason Smith has now won the last four events he has competed in over the last two weekends.

STANFORD, Calif. – Jason Smith swept his jumps at the Stanford Invitational with a High Jump victory on Saturday. He has now won the last four events he has competed in over the last two weekends.

The senior dominated, claiming the win by almost six full inches. His mark of 2.20m (7-2.5) is now the season-best for the Beach beating out the previous mark of 2.15m. He just missed out on setting a new personal best by less than an inch.

With his jump of 7-2.5, the San Bruno native now owns the fifth-best mark in program history for the outdoor high jump.

This is the first time Smith has swept the Long Jump and High Jump at an event since the indoor Air Force Team Challenge on February 7, 2020. His marks in each event now rank tenth and third, respectively, in the entire NCAA.

Long Beach State is back in action next week at the Fullerton Spring Invite.
