No. 15 Long Beach State Prepares To Take On No. 9 UC San Diego

The Beach wraps up play with a showdown with the Tritons, who sit atop the Big West standings.
Long Beach, Calif. — The No. 15 Long Beach State women's water polo team hosts No. 9 UC San Diego this weekend to wrap up the regular season.
ABOUT THE BEACH
-Last time out, the Beach defeated No. 19 Loyola Marymount 8-6 to pick up their first win of the season.
-Elena Kotanchyan and Sarah Barker both scored two goals against the Lions.
-Kotanchyan leads the team with 14 goals while Anne de Kleer is second with nine goals.
-In the cage, freshman Inbar Geva had five saves against the Lions picking up her first win of the season to bring her record to 1-3 in the cage. Geva leads the team with 33 saves.
ABOUT UC SAN DIEGO
-UCSD (8-4) comes in at No. 9 and sits atop the Big West standings with a 3-0 record.
-The Tritons have been idle since splitting their matches with UC Davis April 10.
-The Tritons' offense features three of the top five scorers in the Big West. Annika Arroyo leads the team with 19 goals, while Ciara Franke and Grace Pevehouse have each scored 18 times.
The Big West Tournament begins April 29.
