Long Beach State’s 2020 recruiting class ranks in the top 10 among mid-major programs
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Tennis Recruiting Network announced the women's top mid-major recruiting classes and Long Beach State's 2020 class came in at No. 8.
The Beach's 2020 recruiting class, which consists of Arina Babkova, Nikola Homolkova, and Claire Le Du, is tops among all Big West schools and third in southern California among mid-major programs.
Babkova comes to the Beach from Dubna, Russia. She holds a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) of 10 and a career-high ITF World Tennis junior tennis ranking of 641. The Tennis Recruiting Network ranks her 63rd.
Homolkova is a native of Pelhrimov in the Czech Republic where she holds the No. 60 national ranking among women's tennis players. She won one of eight district tournaments across the Czech Republic to reach the final tournament, which is open to the Top 32 players in the country. Here Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) is 10.35.
Le Du, a native of Normandy, France, owns a 0 French tennis rating and a 9 Universal Tennis Rating (UTR). She has won several French junior tournaments and has reached the quarterfinals in her age group of the French Open at Roland Garros.
