No. 12 Women's Water Polo Heads To San Diego For Triton Invitational

The Beach opens play against No. 16 LMU.
Looking to continue their strong start to the season, Long Beach State will head to La Jolla this weekend to compete in the Triton Invitational hosted by UC San Diego.Â
The Beach (5-0) will open play against No. 16 Loyola Marymount University on Saturday at 9:50 a.m.. It will be the second time in a week the two face each other. LBSU took the first meeting with a 10-8 win at the UCLA Mini Invitational.Â
In that contest, sophomore Orsi Hertzka scored four goals to lead the way for the Beach.Â
LBSU will then play No. 1 USC or Villanova. The Beach will then wrap up the tournament with two games on Sunday.
At the Triton Invitational there are a total of 16 teams that are spread across four brackets. In LBSU's bracket is No. 1 USC, No. 16 LMU and Villanova.Â
