LONG BEACH, Calif. – Leading wire to wire in their first game of the Big West Championships, No. 2 seed Long Beach State put together a strong first half over No. 7 seed Cal State Fullerton, leading 13-1 after the first 16 minutes, then secured the win and a spot in the semifinals, 18-5.
Off to a strong start behind solid defense, Long Beach State (16-10) opened a 4-0 lead behind two goals from Lucy Miszewski and a goal each from Daniela Quinzada and Elisa Portillo.
