
Long Beach State To Host Big West Tournament At Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center

Long Beach State will play host to the Big West Tournament this weekend.
LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Long Beach State (15-14, 1-4) is set to host the 2019 Big West Tournament at the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center during the weekend of April 26-28. The tournament will feature all six teams that assemble the Big West conference with UC Irvine (18-8, 4-1) earning the No. 1 overall seed. (2) Hawai'i (16-5, 4-1) follow the rankings behind the Anteaters, along with (3) UC Davis (17-11, 3-2). The bottom half of the rankings starts with (4) UC Santa Barbara (20-7, 3-2), (5) Long Beach State, and ends with (6) CSUN (14-17, 0-5).
The tournament will kick off on Friday as LBSU will take on UC Santa Barbara at 1 p.m. in Match 1. The winner will advance to take on the top-seeded UC Irvine Anteaters. Friday will conclude with Match 2 as CSUN and UC Davis will battle it out at 3 p.m. for a spot to play against Hawai'i.
The action will pick back up on Saturday starting with the fifth-place match at 11 a.m. which will consist of the losers of Match 1 and Match 2. Following the fifth-place match, the winner of Match 1 will take on UC Irvine at 1 p.m. with the final match of the day being at 3 p.m. with the winner of Match 2 against Hawai'i.
Sunday play starts at 12 p.m. with the third-place match followed by the championship match at 2 p.m.
