Dominique Meyer Named Big West Women’s Tennis Athlete Of The Week

Meyer played a crucial role in Long Beach State’s 4-3 win over San Diego State.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Freshman Dominique Meyer was named the Big West Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week after picking up a pair of wins to help the Beach drop San Diego State in the team's only match last week.
Meyer, a freshman from Aarau, Switzerland, clinched Long Beach State's win over the Aztecs with a three-set win at No.5. Her 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 victory paved the way to Long Beach State's first road win of the year in their first opportunity.
Additionally, Meyer partnered with Wiktoria Rutkowska to pick up a doubles victory in San Diego as well, winning 6-2 over Jenny Moinard/Shakhnoza Khatamova in the top flight.
Both Meyer and Rutkowska have earned Big West Player of the Week honors this season, with Long Beach State taking home the award in two out of the first three weeks of the spring season.
