No. 8 Long Beach State Rolls Past No. 13 San Jose State in First Round of Golden Coast Conference Tournament

The Beach Defeated the Spartans 8-4.
MALIBU, Calif.—No. 8 Long Beach State defeated No. 13 San Jose State, 8-4, Friday afternoon at the Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool.
Long Beach State (17-12) took a comfortable lead in the first half outscoring the San Jose State (7-19) 4-0. Senior Austin Stewart scored the first goal of the third quarter before Adam Bado of San Jose State scored two goals in the last minute to end the third period 5-2. The Beach scored three goals in the last quarter to maintain their lead and win the game 8-4.
Rafael Real Vergara, Matt Morris and Austin Stewart, Long Beach State's top scorers, all contributed two goals each. Eduardo Wainberg and Theodoros Pateros added a goal each to put Long Beach State out on top in the first round of the Golden Coast Conference Tournament.
